• Court hears Sibiya’s bodyguard was allegedly paid R10,000 a day
At Shadrack Sibiya’s bail hearing in the Randburg Magistrates’ Court, an investigating officer told the court that a man known as Mr M was allegedly paid R10,000 a day to work as Sibiya’s private security guard, bodyguard and weekend driver.
Mr M is the father of the 16-year-old girl Sibiya is accused of sexually grooming. The state also alleges he previously acted as Sibiya’s protector and drove several girls to a hotel in Sibiya’s bakkie, then left them there.
Sibiya’s lawyer, Amanda Nel, denied the claims. The defence says Sibiya never employed Mr M, already had official protectors, and did not pay them himself, so he had no reason to use Mr M’s services.
Sibiya is the suspended deputy national police commissioner. The claims were made during his ongoing bail application #Netchain #mzansi #netchain #SAPS #Enca

  • Rip: Elizabeth "Tsontso" Mokolo Moselakgomo
Elizabeth Mokolo Moselakgomo was a 38-year-old fitness enthusiast and mother from Kempton Park, Gauteng. On Wednesday, September 09, 2026, Tsontso left her home in Rhodesfield, Kempton Park, for her usual afternoon run and never returned. She left behind her eight-year-old daughter, who later raised the alarm by contacting family members when night fell.A missing person file was opened at the South African Police Service ( SAPS ) and photos of Elizabeth were shared on social media.
On Saturday, September 12, 2026, the battered body of a woman wearing sports clothing was discovered by authorities in the Kempton Park area. Due to severe facial injuries, the family could not immediately confirm her identity over the weekend.
On Monday morning, September 14, 2026, her family formally and positively identified her body at the Germiston mortuary.
Tsontso's tragic death is part of a deeply concerning broader investigation by the South African Police Service (SAPS). She is one of five women whose bodies have been discovered in the Kempton Park and Olifantsfontein areas over a two-month span.
A dedicated multidisciplinary task team has been established to examine the evidence and investigate potential links between these cases, though authorities have noted it is too early to definitively confirm a single culprit or serial killer. One suspect was already taken into custody in July regarding the first discovery. We send our deepest condolences to her family, friends and colleagues.May her soul rest in peace. 🕊

  • OPERATION CORONA | SANDF DELIVERS — NOW GO AFTER THE KINGPINS:
The latest operations by the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) under Operation CORONA show the vital role our soldiers continue to play in safeguarding South Africa’s borders and supporting law enforcement.
Over the past weekend, soldiers operating along the Zimbabwe–South Africa and Botswana–South Africa borders made seizures exceeding R1.4 million.
    These included:
    • A Great Wall Motor Tank 300 valued at R729,000 at Echo Station 1
    • Illicit cigarettes worth R305,860 at Pump Station
    • Illicit cigarettes worth R282,337 along the Botswana border
    • Illicit alcohol worth R28,000
    • Dagga worth R50,700
    • Illicit groceries and goods worth R12,000
In one incident, suspects allegedly fired at soldiers before fleeing across the border into Zimbabwe.
These results demonstrate that Operation CORONA is making an impact. But seizures are only one part of the battle.
WE MUST GO AFTER THE KINGPINS.
Cigarette smuggling is a major organised-crime problem. We cannot keep arresting foot soldiers and confiscating consignments while the people financing, coordinating and profiting from these criminal networks remain untouched.
Follow the money. Identify the networks. Arrest the kingpins. Prosecute them.
Every seizure must become an intelligence lead. Every arrested suspect must potentially lead investigators to those higher up the chain.
The real measure of success cannot simply be how many cigarettes or goods are seized. It must be how many criminal syndicates are dismantled and how many kingpins are put behind bars.
Our soldiers are doing their job on the ground.
Now SAPS, the Hawks, prosecutors and other agencies must follow the trail all the way to the top.
    SEIZE THE GOODS.
    ARREST THE SMUGGLERS.
    DISMANTLE THE SYNDICATES.
    GO AFTER THE KINGPINS.
